Terms, Conditions and Cancellation Policy
By booking directly with Alexander’s of Richmond cottage website you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions.
General.
Alexander’s of Richmond reserves the right to refuse service and cancel any reservation that does not meet the following terms and conditions
You must be at least 18 years old to make a reservation.
To stay at a Alexander’s of Richmond, a person under 18 must be accompanied by an adult,
A valid credit card and photo ID will be required on arrival if requested.
If a valid credit card is not presented a cash bond of up to $200 is required.
CANCELLATION
For booking less than 4 nights - cancellation policy 48 hrs before arrival day, if cancelled within 48 hours of the arrival date no refunds will be issued.
For booking for 4 or less than a month- The cancellation policy is 5 nights before the arrival date. If cancelled within 5 nights of the arrival date, then no refunds will be issued.

CANCELLATIONS FOR DISCOUNTED AND PROMOTIONAL RATES
For example: Advanced Purchases Rates, multiple night stays and “Stay 2 and Save”
Advance purchase and other specials will be charged at time of booking.
Advance purchase and other specials are non-refundable or transferable to another date.
CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT?
Check-in time is 2.00 pm.
Check-out time is 10.00 am.
Changes to check-in or check-out times can be arranged in advance directly with the cottage, changes are subject to availability and may incur a fee.
AT CHECK-IN
A valid credit card and photo ID will be required on arrival.
If a valid credit card is not presented a cash bond of up to $200 is required Payment by third party credit cards (Charge Back) may be arranged in advance by contacting the hotel directly.
RATES AND CHARGES
Full payment for your stay will be charged within 24 hours of arrival unless stated otherwise.
All prices are quoted in Australian dollars, per room, per night and includes GST.
CHILDREN
Alexander’s of Richmond considers children to be from 4 and 16 years and a $30 extra charge apply per person.
0-2 Years can stay at no additional charge if they are in their own cot.
Using existing bedding and Portable cots are an additional charge and are subject to availability.
ADDITIONAL BEDS
Inflatable bed is available at an additional charge of $30 and are subject to availability.
GUESTS LIABILITY
All guests will be liable for any loss or damage to their accommodation room and its contents, fair wear and tear accepted.
All guests agree to pay the rate quoted for the entire stay and any additional charges that are in the agreement.
All hotels in Australia are non-smoking.
Any guest smoking in their room may be asked to leave the cottage and will incur a charge of $400 for having the room off-line for cleaning and deodorising. Guests rights are protected under the Civil Laws (Wrongs) Act 2002 https://www.legislation.tas.gov.au/view/html/inforce/current/act-2002-054
BEST RATE GUARANTEED
Alexander’s of Richmond guarantee all guests will get the Best Available Rate when they book direct with the hotels either by phone, email or on the hotel’s own web sites.
The Best Rate Guarantee does not apply to unpublished rates or advance purchase offers.
The Best Rate Guarantee does not apply if the lower rate is achieved via a currency conversion and when comparing rates both rates must have tax included or tax excluded to ensure a fair comparison.
